About the Piece:

So...my last Geometry series upload was back in September 2013. Whoops. I totally meant to do this one sooner as I had everything already worked out in my head...I just never got around to it. So here it is! Similar to the Link Geometry piece, this abstract depiction of Ganondorf is not exclusive to one game and could be representative of most incarnations of the notorious villain. He typically has a very similar color scheme throughout the franchise like the other main characters, so I had a good idea of what I wanted the final result to look like right away. For this Ganondorf piece in particular, I think the watercolor texturing really aids in giving an almost creepy quality to the image. The reds/oranges on the watercolor make me think of both blood as well as fire, which is exactly what I had hoped to achieve. The colors overall are taken from Ganondorf's appearance but definitely invoke imagery like scorched earth, dead foliage, burnt ash, and smoke - all things Ganondorf tends to leave in his path. I currently don't have any other Geometry pieces planned; Ganondorf was the last one I thought was appropriate to round out the matching Link/Zelda/Fi/Ghirahim bunch. I'm always open to other suggestions/ideas, though, so if anyone has any don't hesitate to let me know. They don't have to be Legend of Zelda, exclusive, either! Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys this better-late-than-never upload!
